CASE-001 // Rear-End · OR Highway · Defense
High-Speed Rear-End Collision — State Highway Intersection
A vehicle traveling at high speed struck a turning vehicle at a rural highway intersection. EDR data was extracted from both vehicles and analyzed alongside momentum-based speed estimates. Human factors analysis addressed looming theory and gap acceptance. Aerial scene documentation was completed by drone. Expert report and deposition testimony provided for defense counsel.

CASE-002 // Intersection · Urban · Plaintiff
Intersection T-Bone — Signal Timing & Perception-Reaction
A broadside collision at a signalized intersection involved disputed claims about signal phase and driver perception-reaction time. Speed at impact was calculated using energy methods and corroborated by EDR data. Signal timing records were obtained and analyzed. 3D laser scan of the intersection produced a measurable scene model for trial exhibit preparation.

Commercial Truck Rear-End — ELD Data & FMCSR Compliance
A semi-truck rear-ended a passenger vehicle on an interstate. ELD records were obtained and analyzed for hours of service compliance. ECM data was extracted and provided pre-crash speed, braking, and cruise control engagement. FMCSR inspection records were reviewed. Federal CMV Inspector certification supported a full mechanical compliance evaluation.

CASE-004 // Pedestrian · Urban · Defense
Pedestrian Fatality — Visibility & Speed Analysis
A pedestrian was struck at night on a non-intersection roadway. Reconstruction addressed headlamp illumination distance, pedestrian conspicuity, and driver available perception-reaction distance. Speed was estimated from tire mark analysis and compared against EDR data. Human factors research on nighttime pedestrian detection informed the report and testimony.

CASE-005 // Rollover · Rural · Defense
Single-Vehicle Rollover — Speed & Critical Curve Speed
A single-vehicle rollover on a rural curve involved disputed claims about road design and vehicle speed. Critical curve speed was calculated using surveyed roadway geometry. EDR data confirmed pre-crash speed and steering input. Drone aerial photography documented the scene geometry and evidence distribution.

CASE-006 // Motorcycle · Intersection · Plaintiff
Motorcycle Collision — Gap Acceptance & Perception Analysis
A motorcycle was struck by a left-turning vehicle at an unsignalized intersection. Speed of the motorcycle at the point of perception was a central issue. Gap acceptance research and closing speed analysis addressed what the turning driver could and should have perceived. Reconstruction incorporated skid mark analysis and EDR data from the subject vehicle.
